The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) was founded in 1979 by Howard E."Rocky" Stone. HLAA is the nation's leading organization representing consumers with hearing loss. Our mission is to open the world of communication to people with hearing loss through information, education, support, and advocacy.
HLAA provides assistance and resources for people with hearing loss and their families to help them live a better life with hearing loss. HLAA is working to eradicate the stigma associated with hearing loss and raise public awareness about the need for prevention, treatment, and regular hearing screenings throughout life.
